I have not featured the UK column since Patrick Henningsen  took the position that the covid pandemic was a hoax and started promoting Dr Sam Bailey and the likes of “the virus is not real” Kaufman.  Such an absurd position led me to question whether or not the UK column was controlled opposition.  It is a pity really because Patrick is a global affairs analyst and the founder of independent news and analysis site 21st Century Wire and his analysis is usually balanced.  Patrick is doing sterling work on his Ukraine war reporting so his support of such  an absurd  position on the virus was probably an aberration.  In any case the UK column is battling on and has redeemed itself so I will occasionally feature a broadcast.  This video had a very interesting segment on Victoria Nuland and other interesting insights into the war.  The back end of the video is about Scotland.

GEOMAGNETIC STORM WATCH (G2-CLASS): Moderately strong G2-class geomagnetic storms are possible on March 31st when a CME is expected to hit Earth’s magnetic field. During such storms, naked-eye auroras can descend into the USA as far south as, e.g., New York and Idaho (geomagnetic latitude 55o). In fact, the storm might be stronger than predicted. The source of the CME, active sunspot AR2975, has just sent two more CMEs right behind it. Aurora alerts: SMS Text.

SOLAR FLARE, TSUNAMI AND RADIATION STORM (UPDATED): A lot of things just happened all at once. Sunspot AR2975 erupted on March 28th (1129 UT), producing a major M4-class solar flare. The blast propelled a ‘solar tsunami’ through the sun’s atmosphere. You can see it rippling away from the blast site in this movie from the Solar Dynamics Observatory:

 

This tsunami was ‘radio-active.’ Its rippling leading edge beamed radio waves toward Earth. “I received a fantastic solar radio burst at 56 MHz,” reports Rob Stammes who recorded the outburst at his space weather observatory in Lofoton, Norway. At about the same time, the US Air Force says they recorded both Type II and Type IV solar radio bursts.

Ironically, while the sun was turning itself into a temporary radio beacon, it simultaneously wiped out some radio transmissions on Earth. A pulse of X-rays from the flare ionized the top of the atmosphere over Africa, causing a shortwave radio blackout:

Aviators, mariners, and ham radio operators in the area may have noticed fading and other unusual propagation effects at frequencies below 30 MHz.

Energetic protons accelerated by the flare+tsunami are now peppering Earth’s magnetosphere, causing a minor S1-class radiation storm. Our planet’s magnetic field is funneling some of these particles toward the poles where a second type of radio blackout is underway–a Polar Cap Absorption Event. Airplanes flying over these regions may find that their shortwave radios won’t work during the transit: polar cap absorption map.

Calcium problems?

The reason that I am interested in this is because I am having trouble with swelling of the legs and problems with my feet now sometimes feeling like pins and needles or going numb.  Of course I was checked for dimer and scanned for clots. None present. I have checked for diabetes (urine test) nothing.  I did a blood test tonight (my son has type 1) and my level was 5.9.   Went for a second blood test months ago and they said my calcium was high. To be honest I am done with doctors..unless I really, really get desperate (lost all confidence in the medical establishment).   I think that I have had Covid (and Omicron) and this might be a side-effect.  Then I came across this by Walter:

That seems worrying to me as it might explain the high calcium levels. I already take magnesium for leg cramps etc.   Then I came across this which others might find helpful.

 

So I ordered some R-ALA and B3 from this website which has been pretty good in the past (not being paid to plug but they are pretty good if you live in Australia: Piping Rock). My strategy will be weight loss and more walking and healthier eating.  I think I might have a fast tomorrow and take no supplements.  Let my system detox completely.  Also hot baths (stimulating heat shock proteins).  Think I need to alternate with cold (ice) for stimulating circulation (thanks MainPain). For the record I am now 107.6 kg but still too fat (lost 5kg already).  So, will keep you updated and if I need to keep recording my weight that might motivate more.  The coming hunger games should fix any weight problems.   Sorry for boring you.  It is like when I used to visit my grandma and listen to her recite all her ailments for the next two hours (lolz).   In any case the moral of this story is obvious….in these perilous times we are all responsible for our own health and the health of our friends and family.

Interesting interview from 5 March with ex-paratrooper from 82nd airborne. Very informative and still relevant.  His prediction about Ukraine collapsing by the 20th of March proved incorrect but I believe that the Russians are winning and the Azov brigades are being thrashed.

Johnny The Paratrooper (a pseudonym) spent 5 years Airborne and tours of Iraq. He has worked the basic issues of counter insurgency in real life, and mixes with specialists in the field. He gives a perspective on where Ukraine is at, whats to come, and whether they stand a chance. How likely is a counter insurgency and how much of the action is pre-planned operations with the blessing of Kissinger & Associates informal networks? How deep will the Russia CCP relationship go. Will both Russia and China experiment on the Ukrainian people with 5G surveillance systems, Smart City infrastructure, drone technology?
