National and State Banks

The private banks have too much power especially the Central Banks.   A national bank (People’s bank)  guarantees independence and sovereignty. It can create a wealth fund and manage pension funds and it would be answerable to the electorate.

The Australian banks have robbed dead people, forged signatures, lied and cheated. The big four accounting firms have covered up criminality and helped corporations off shore their tax liability. ASIC has glossed over crimes.   So it is not just the banks.  The whole system is corrupt and captured by monopoly oligarch power and we all pay the price.

At least the Australian Citizens party is agitating for a Postal Bank and is trying to get an anti-banking candidate elected.  I highly recommend this interview:
