Another cracking article by Whitney. Apologies if it has already been posted but it is too important to miss.
The Untold Story of Christian Zionism’s Rise to Power in the United States
Well before Theodore Herzl founded political Zionism and published The Jewish State, Christian Zionists in the United States and England were already seeking to direct and influence the foreign policy of both nations in service to a religious obsession end times prophecy.
Antisemitism is on the rise, at least that is what we are told. The following saying is often encountered:
“To know who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize”
This “bon mot” is often attributed to the philosopher Voltaire but seems to originate from a more recent white supremacist. It has been posted numerous times, even by politicians and was even tweeted by Trump Jr.
Trump Jr
The origin of the quote is a distraction. Apparently, if the origin of the quote can be demonstrated to originate with the “far-right” this somehow de-legitimizes the sentiment. However, the “Voltaire quote” remains remarkably persistent on the internet because people know that it is true. A good example was the criticism of Erdogan who was compared to Gollum. The critic, Bilgin Ciftci had was indicted for violating Article 301 of the Turkish constitution which punishes those who ‘denigrate state officials’. The Winnie the Pooh character has become a lighthearted way for people across China to mock their president, Xi Jinping. All references to Pooh Bear — because Xi is so vain and insecure that hilarious comparisons to Pooh’s pear-shape cannot be tolerated — also can also send a citizen to prison. Censorship is essential to repression. And now we come to the elephant in the room.
Antisemitism, Zionism and Anglo-Zionist
The elephant in the room
The following passage come from the article in the Unz review that originally appeared in the Saker;
Pretending that we don’t see this elephant in the room makes us look either subservient to that elephant, or simply like a coward who dares not speak truth to power. In other words, if you do want to shoot your credibility, pretend really hard that you are totally unaware of the elephant in the room: some of your sponsors might love you, but everybody else will despise you.
What about the very real risk of being perceived as some kind of Nazi?
Yes, the risk is there, but only if you allow yourself to flirt with racist or even para-racist notions. But if you are categorical in your rejection of any form of racism (including any form of anti-Jewish racism), then the accusation will simply not stick. Oh sure, the Zionists out there will try hard to make you look like a Nazi, but they will fail simply because they will have nothing to base that accusation on other than some vague “overtones” or “lack of sensitivity”.
In my experience, people are not that stupid and they rapidly see through that worn-out accusation of “anti-Semitism” ( a meaningless concept to begin with, as Michael Neumann so brilliantly demonstrates in his essay “What is Antisemitism?”). http://www.unz.com/tsaker/why-i-use-the-term-anglozionist-and-why-its-important/
