They own the science

The WEF tells you to your face that they own the science and Fauci famously said I am the science.  These people are correct.   Their money pays for the grants, funds the Universities and the research institutes.  They also fund the scientific journals. When you hold all the purse strings then you do indeed “own the science”.     Except it is not science anymore, it is a narrative, what we might term as scientism.     A crass appeal to authority and “experts”.  And they are frightened, which is why we are seeing more and more censorship because some real science is leaking out. Eventually the truth will be revealed, the truth will out, it always does.  In the meantime the bodies pile up.  These people are evil and a reckoning is coming.
