Time to cheer you up

Enough with the doom and the fear…..time to cheer you up.  It might not be that bad because as we enter the galactic sheet we also get an increase in asteroids.  So, with a bit of luck it could be over with one big bang!  Ha, ha…

Seriously, we have had a number of near misses recently that were not spotted at all. Apparently those less than a kilometer in size are difficult to spot but they are still big enough to destroy a city.

 It kind of reminds me of this:

Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.  Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.
