What brought it home to me (even though I knew it already) was the fact that the Maxwell trial was prosecuted by Comey’s daughter. Maxwell, 60, was convicted in December of helping the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein sexually abuse teenage girls. She had pleaded not guilty, saying she was being scapegoated for Epstein’s crimes because he was no longer alive. Her sentencing is scheduled for June 28. Epstein killed himself in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 at age 66 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. So, the daughter of the former head of the FBI (Comey) who exonerated Hillary Clinton presided over the Maxwell trial. No conflict of interest there (lolz).
