First let me say that Diamond from magnetic reversal believes (contra Suspicious Observers below) that this magnetic excursion will not include a “rotational flip” and I tend to agree. I believe that we will experience a micro-nova and earthquakes and great hail (weather patterns). That is the biblical picture in the Apocalypse. In my view a global tsunami is unlikely although there may be local flooding. The fact is that nobody (except God) knows how this will work out. Something big is coming that is for sure. God promised with the rainbow covenant* (which was hijacked by perverts) that harvest seasons would continue until the end and that the earth would not be destroyed by water.
"For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men" (2 Peter 3:5-7).
The “old” world was judged by water and this one by “fire”. Of course, that chapter had a metaphorical fulfillment in the judgement of Jerusalem in AD 70 and the Kochba revolt in 132-135 AD. However, scripture is repeat patterns with the natural and spiritual meanings often coalescing. We know from Isaiah 30, Zechariah 14 and Revelation 16 that a solar flare or micro nova is coming when the northern hemisphere (Jerusalem) is facing the sun. Such a flair will trigger an enormous earthquake. The earth will tremble like a drunkard at the presence of the Lord. We must prepare (because that is what sensible people do) but we must not be swallowed by fear. No one can tell you exactly what will happen. If you want a safe space flee to the Lord and make him your rock.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety (Ps 18:2)
rainbow covenant* God appointed the rainbow as a sign he did not create it (change the laws of physics) after the flood. The rainbow already existed. Effectively, God is saying to man whenever you see this in the sky remember my promise of mercy. In other words, my laws of nature will stand. We are about to see the changing of harvest seasons and failure in certain regions but this is precursor to a golden age where there will be “corn on the top of the mountains, the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth” (Ps 72:16). However, first there must be a cleansing.
