Danny Sjrusen who writes for (the admittedly left-wing)\u00a0 AntiWar.co, has written a good article called\u00a0 Who Started It?: A (Reverse) Timeline Of US\/Iran Retaliations<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong> The article has also been published by Zero Hedge (the link above is to the Hedge).\u00a0\u00a0 Now Zero Hedge is known for its “robust” comments section.\u00a0\u00a0 This is to be expected because you get pro-Zionist Hasbara trolls, anti-Muslim trolls,antisemitism, white supremacists, racists, misogynists\u00a0 etc commenting\u00a0 (apologies if I have forgotten anyone\u00a0 LOL).\u00a0 However, this free (and often abusive) exchange of comments and ideas often produces very good links and\/or good observations.\u00a0 It is a case of sifting through the dross and sometimes holding your nose.\u00a0\u00a0 So, I have chosen some of the best links and comments below together with my own introduction.\u00a0 I have not attributed the comments because they are anonymous (using an avatar)…..but\u00a0 a thank you to the commenters.<\/p>\r\n

Introduction:\u00a0 This comment placed a link to the CIA website.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>The point being that even the Central Intelligence Agency admits on their own website that a coup was staged in Iran (1953).<\/p>\r\n

The usual response to this by the trolls is that “We built the oil infrastructure and invested in the country then the commies went and nationalized it.\u00a0\u00a0 They stole our stuff and we kicked ***\u00a0 blah, blah (some more jingoism and swearing LOL).\u00a0\u00a0 The true story is somewhat different (as usual).\u00a0 Before the US the Brits were in control and the Oil company eventually became BP. \u00a0 The problem was (as usual) that the money flowed to a corrupt Iranian elite (isn’t that always the case?) and so when the elected Government of Iran could not negotiate fair royalties etc they nationalized the industry.\u00a0 That is what happens when you refuse to share and act like a bully.\u00a0 The history is fully explained by this link (provided by the commentator): \u00a0<\/p>\r\n
