The robber barons who own the corporations will be able to issue their own digital currency no oversight by Government except perhaps the Fed (in the US) which is a private corporation. I should imagine that ID will be linked with your ability to purchase....so (for example) you may have to scan the can of beans with your smart phone and all the large food corporations will have a common digital blockchain token. If you fart too much your beans will be denied because the methane levels will ruin your carbon credit score and your linked medical report highlights your bottom burp problem. This is pure evil.
