Remember the phrase, “If we build it they will come” (from the movie Field of Dreams) now it is “If we build it, we all die”. Get ready to meet your new AI gods, they will be same as the old gods because AI is created by the mind of man and therefore has all of our human flaws. It seems that we have managed to create AGI. I think they have had it for a while and have been using it to direct and manipulate the “shit show” (sorry could not think of a more appropriate term) that we are seeing now.
