Authoritarian Tip Toe
The authoritarian tip toe in Australia has now become a headlong rush. The strategy they are using is the typical divide and rule. The various State Premiers enact different rules (like mandates and border closures) and the Federal govt shrugs its shoulders and claims it is outside their jurisdiction. Apparently we are not a single country but a collection of different countries who can all make up their own rules. Of course it is the Labor state premiers that are on first name terms with Stalin. However, this is not simply a partisan issue as Scott Morrison is just as eager to please his masters. Every country seems to be following a similar pattern – the Left is utterly corrupt or incompetent (Joe Biden, Keir Starmer, Anthony Albanese) and the Right is reprehensible and compromised (Donald Trump, Boris Johnson, Scott Morrison). Look at Morrison lapping up the praises with a smirk on his face:
