Alexander the Great
Legend has it that Alexander wept because there was nothing left to conquer. He died at the age of 33 in Babylon. Jesus Christ refused the kingdoms of the world and the glory thereof. He also died at the age of 33 in a city which had become spiritually Babylon, Egypt and Sodom.
"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"
(Matt 16:26)
