A Clockwork Shining
Best explanation that I have heard. The Shinning is about MK Ultra.

A Clockwork Shining: Best Film of 2024? (1:10 min)
A comment under the video about continuity errors makes me understand why they were deliberately giving us conflicting information during the pandemic.
These continuity errors in The Shining remind me of Milton Erickson's trance induction techniques or Bandler and Grinder's NLP. Both use small inconsistencies or unexpected shifts to disorient the conscious mind, making it more suggestible. Kubrick was meticulous, so these 'errors' are deliberate—like the impossible layouts of the Overlook Hotel or Danny’s changing sweater. They subtly destabilize the viewer, creating a sense of unease that mirrors the characters' mental states. Kubrick was using mind control techniques to pull us deeper into the film’s horror. Genius!
Even now as we are having all this revealed (Revelation of the Method) seems like some sort of occult initiation. Well, keep playing your games. In the end you lose and I can’t wait.
