Old Lions and Young Lions

Judah triumphant ..or Judah losing his authority?  The lion of Judah did not come through the line of Shelah.   Seed was raised to the dead by Tamar and the scarlet thread of redemption was taken from the descendants of Zerah (the line of Achan extinguished) and given to her other son Pharez whose descendant Salmon was saved by the scarlet thread hung out the window of a Canaanite whore.  It was not Shelah but Shiloh who made peace between God and man. Thus was the Messiah revealed through the line of Salmon demonstrating that God’s strength is perfected in weakness not allowing any man to boast.

This has a humorous aspect.... the "old lion" is Judah who would "rise up" and mount Tamar (his young daughter-in-law) and the lawgiver or ruler between his legs is a euphemism because he lost his staff and scepter (the sign of his tribal authority) until Shiloh. But Shelah (not Shiloh) was his youngest son and this is a deliberate prophetic projection (messianic title as shiloh is tranquility or peace). In any case this is more of a piss take than a blessing. As a "young lion" the prey that he tore was his brother Joseph. I could go on as there is much more to say but most people DO NOT HAVE THE FIRST CLUE about what they are reading. And my video about Amalek will be ready soon (I hope).
