Pro-Iran Gunmen 'Shooting Protesters'

The following article offers commentary on the protests in Iraq. Paid snipers killing both the security forces and the protesters.  The article suggests that Iran is behind the killings, however, we classify it as FAKE NEWS.  The article in question is by Patrick Cockburn (October 7, 2019) and called;  Death Toll in Iraq Soars as Pro-Iran Gunmen 'Shooting Protesters'  http://www.unz.com/pcockburn/death-toll-in-iraq-soars-as-pro-iran-gunmen-shooting-protesters/

Mission Accomplished

Before we look at the article perhaps a bit of "back grounding" and a gentle reminder why we have the mess in the first place.  Just two weeks ago I completed reading the "Green Zone".   You have probably heard of the movie with Jason Bourne and the hunt for the WMD.   The movie is of course fictional but the story-line was conceived from a screenplay written by Brian Helgeland, based on a 2006 non-fiction book Imperial Life in the Emerald City by journalist Rajiv Chandrasekaran. The book documented life within the Green Zone in Baghdad during the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Drawing on interviews and first hand experience the book demonstrates the absurdity, incompetence, cronyism and downright criminality involved by the US-led Coalition Provisional Authority. One critic calls it, "a tragic tale of naivety, hubris, waste and wilful ignorance".

Following 9/11, Dick Cheney was instrumental in providing a primary justification for a renewed war against Iraq. Cheney helped shape Bush's approach to the "War on Terror".  Cheney is the poster boy for neoconservative hubris. A member of the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA) he was also formerly the CEO of Halliburton.

Christian Bale recently portrayed  him in an autobiographical movie.  At the awards he "Thanked SATAN" for giving him inspiration for portraying Cheney.  The criminality, arrogance and stupidity of these people is rightly represented by the likes of Cheney.

This is what "freedom" looks like

The neoconservatives still refuse to admit to any mistakes.    In the famous words of Shrub "Mission Accomplished"

However, all the "gloating" aside on how easy it was to destroy and kill people with superior technology it will suffice to look at these slides and remind ourselves what a "liberated" Iraq looks like.

This should make the warmongers hang their heads in shame.

Debunking the Story

After all that has happened we would say that the Iraqi people had the right to protest - especially the disenfranchised youth.  But who is killing both the protesters and the police?  The article (and the MSM) would have us believe that it is IRAN. Here are the facts:

  1. The current unrest in Iraq began a week ago after a prominent general was removed from his post
  2. US gave a travel warning for Iraq one week before the protests
  3. Iraqi Government supportive of Iran
  4. Location of protests near area where Iranians make cross border pilgrimage for up coming holy days

Perhaps the best articles for debunking the scenario are:

Precedent for false flags

Lest we forget, we already have a precedent with the Ukrainian (CIA) coup.   The protestors were fired on from nearby roofs by "unknown" snipers.  The Ukraine snipers fired at both police and protesters. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-11-17/another-false-flag-terror-admission-snipers-ukraine-%E2%80%9Cprotests%E2%80%9D

Same play book?

Conclusion

The Unz review is usually pretty good but this story looks like propaganda.  This article seeks to blame Iran and the Iraqi Government.  This is "blow-back" because the US actually allowed Iraqis to vote. The majority Shiite population voted for an Iraqi government sympathetic to Iran.  Oh dear, if only they had left Saddam in power, at least he suppressed the Shiites.  Well I suppose you can't fix neocon stupid. Seems like even Satan has his limitations.  The internet has been taken out in this area, so we have no way to confirm anything but it appears the current government of Iraq is under siege.  With Turkey kicking the USA out of Northern Syria it seems that Iraq has similar ideas (removing the US).  Is the current government opposing US perpetual occupation?  Perhaps that is why we are seeing protests and another regime change is on the cards.
