Preaching to the Spirits in Prison

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly (2 Pet 2:4-5 )

For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. (1 Pet 3:18-21)

Peter and Jude are speaking about the same things and they are rooted in the history of Israel.

 

God’s angels do not rebel against him they are ministering spirits. Even “Satan” cannot act outside of divine permission. A house divided cannot stand says Jesus. There is harmony in heaven, and we are taught to pray that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven. There is no shadow of turning in the Father. Jude (v.9) even warned, “Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee”. This is a complex text which some refer to an apocryphal writing, but the body of Moses is here probably talking about the nation of Israel (as the Church is the body of Christ) and the incident is Zech 3:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? This chapter is about the fitness of the post-captivity high priest Joshua to serve, and the “heavenly court” is set up with God as judge and Michael (=who is like God) as angel for the defense and “Satan” as the prosecutor with the accusation (devil=accuser) that Joshua has been made unfit to serve because of the captivity.

Both 1 Peter 3:18-21 and 2 Peter 2:4-5 are talking about the same incident which happened in the days of Noah (in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing). The passage is related to water baptism and comparison is made with Noah (saved by water) and the “sprits in prison” (those imprisoned by sin and death). Note the phrase “being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit”. There are only a few places where God is called  “God of the spirits of all flesh” (Numbers 16:22) and the title is used by Moses the context being the Korah rebellion and an appeal for mercy and the second time it is also used by Moses in the context of his own rebellion when he was told that he would not be allowed to enter the land because he had not sanctified God.

And Moses spake unto the LORD, saying, 16 Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, 17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd. (Numbers 27:15-17).

It was JESUS (Joshua) who would lead them into the kingdom not Moses. But note that the “spirits” and “God of the spirits of all flesh” is used in the context of human rebellion  against God. We are told that Moses was 120 years old when he died (Deut 34:7) and this is what God said to the generation of Noah: “And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years”(Genesis 6:3). So the “God of the spirits of all flesh” would not allow his spirit to contend with rebellious man forever and therefore the maximum lifespan of the men of renown in the next verse (Nephilim =giants, fallen) was limited to 120 years as was the lifespan of (rebellious) Moses (the meekest of men). There was then a generation of the “sons of God” expelled from Eden who became the exceedingly powerful god-kings (Like the Pharaoh’s etc.) most probably in the line of Cain who became the masters of civilization and city builders (see Genesis ch. 4 ) the descendants of Cain and those of Seth bore similar names as competing dynasty’s “sons of God” and “daughters of men” or those who placed their hope in the messianic promise and those who worshiped the serpent. The messianic line was in danger of being violently expunged when these lines intermarried.

When  Jesus visited the realm of the dead (briefly) a first century Jewish or Christian reader would be reminded of Isaiah 14:10-13 were  the the King of Babylon/Assyria (here compared to Lucifer)  is sent to the realm of shadows where he was mocked by the other Rephaim:

All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us? 11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee. 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north" (Isaiah 14:10-13)

In contrast Jesus was not permanently condemned to the “underworld” and  his conquest of death and its metaphorical inhabitants demonstrates that no part of creation is outside of Gods reach (Ps 139:8).

And again the parable of Lazarus the beggar in Abraham’s bosom and the rich man burning in hell and Lazarus and the rich man are able to speak to each other (Luke 16:20-31), presumably they are talking across the great divide between heaven and hell (the burning man “lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off” in the same manner as Abraham who lifted up his eyes and saw the place of sacrifice afar off (Gen 22:4). It is obviously a parable. See my article  on Luke 16 here.

Whatever you make of Isaiah 14 it is about the King of Assyria /Babylon (at one point the Assyrian king conquered Babylon) whose hubris has elevated him to the “mount of the gods” which is a reference to mount Hermon in the north around which the Phoenician Baal myths and Sumerian Titans (Ti.Ta.Na) were absorbed by other Mid-East cultures (including the Greeks) and Enochic Judaism where they become the “rebellious angels” of the book of Enoch which uses the Genesis pre-flood account to frame the Sumerian mythology.

The “angels” (aggelos =messengers) who left their first estate functions as a two-fold reference and warning.

(1) Historical. The reference is to the Korah rebellion in Numbers 16. Korah was one of the 70 (72 with Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu were killed shortly after) elders chosen to go up the mount (Exod 24:1) where the elders had a covenant meal with the Elohim. Hence forth they became the Sanhedrin. The Judges of Israel with the outlook to become the judges of the 72 nations (LXX Gen 10). In other words they were chosen but they rebelled against Moses (God) because they wanted more authority. Indeed it reminds one of the rebellion against Hezekiah in Psalm 82:6-7.

 

They may well have been elevated to the status of “gods” Elohim (because they received the word of God John 10:35) but they would die like men and like one of the princes.  The Korah rebels were swallowed up by an earthquake (chained in everlasting darkness).

 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. 6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day  (Jude 1:5-6).

(2) Apologetic. It also pushes back at the rebellious angels narrative of the book of Enoch. Jude basically says….even your book of Enoch tells the rebellious end up chained in darkness.

 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him (Jude 1:14-15).

This video by Michael Heiser is good and funny. Mind you I don’t agree with everything in his book Unseen Realm but he has some very good points (that I will use). He is correct in saying that this is from the book of Enoch which was not accepted by the church  (or by Judaism) as canonical. The passage in Peter is actually a condemnation of Enochic Judaism that lies at the basis of the Gnostic-Kabbalism that is emerging again. This theology depicts Yahweh as a demiurge and his angels as rebellious and the material creation as a “prison of the spirit”. Peter and Jude were aware of the Enochic literature and the Sethian Ophites (see also Mandeism) who venerated the serpent as the illuminator.

“It is a statement of who you are aligned with”  says Michael  and in this Michael is 100% correct. The believer has passed from death to life.

I will be treating this whole subject in more depth in the future and will also comment on Michael’s book which has interesting observations even though I disagree with some of his premises.

WHO Were The Spirits In Prison That Jesus PREACHED To? (9 min)

Enoch borrows from the book of Daniel.   The “watchers” is a Danielic term. Daniel represents the simpler, OT/Tanakh view that the plight of Israel is related to her lack of fidelity to the covenant–NOT to some astrological or angelic super-forces. Boccacinni documents these major differences in worldview for us:

"In the Book of Dream Visions [Enoch], corruption is brought about in creation because the angels' sin directly influences the very possibility of human resistance to evil. It drastically limits human freedom of choice and responsibility. Humankind is thus more the victim than the doer of evil. The degeneration of history is the collective manifestation of a corruption at work against individuals on the ontological level...In Daniel, on the other hand, history degenerates because God has made it the instrument of punishment of the people of Israel who, fully exercising their freedom, failed to meet the commitments of the covenant. Nothing intervened to modify human ability to choose; human beings were and remain free." Middle Judaism: Jewish Thought 300BCE to 200CE. // Boccaccini, Gabrielle // Fortress:1991. (p.149)

 

"In Daniel we find the same degenerative conception of history that we have seen in the Dream Visions, as well as the same anticipation of the eschatological reign; however, these elements do not have the same meaning for the two authors. The entire course of history is revealed to Enoch, from the creation until the eschatological reign. History is a drama that unfolds with humankind as both protagonist and victim. "All of the men's deeds were shown to me, each in all of their parts" (I Enoch 90:41), states Enoch at the book's conclusion. The explanation of everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen is contained in the Book of Dream Visions, which explains the origin of evil, sets the limits of human freedom, and indicates the characteristics of future salvation....The idea of causality within the unfolding of history corresponds to the apocalyptic idea of a world corrupted by an original sin. For Dream Visions this sin effects its degenerative action in the succession of increasingly iniquitous kingdoms up until the cathartic intervention of God. This concept appears completely extraneous to the author of Daniel, who organizes his thought, as well as the literary structure of the book, around two fundamental ideas: first, sovereignty belongs to God, who grants it and revokes it according to God's will and established times (chaps. 2-7); second, the cause of history's degeneration is the breaking of the covenant, which has brought down upon the people the curse contained therein (chaps. 8-12)." "As for the retributory criteria of individual judgment, it is clear from the whole of Daniel that it is based on the covenant. The resolution to the problem of the relationship between good and bad deeds, however, is not made explicit. The image of the "steelyard" used in Dan 5:27 is traditional and in itself does not imply a weighing of the quantity of actions. Daniel's words to Nebuchadnezzar are more significant: Daniel advises him to "redeem his sins by practicing righteousness, and his iniquities by showing mercy to the oppressed" (Dan 4:24). These words echo analogous expressions of Ben Sira (cf. Sir 3:3, 14, 30; 35:3), who drew the idea of God's comprehensive evaluation of an individual's actions from the expiatory value of righteous deeds in relation to transgressions. ...In the Dream Visions, judgment has a completely different value. It is more a reestablishment of a corrupted order through an indistinctly operated elimination of both those who are responsible and those who have been involved against their will. Judgment, therefore, is made primarily against the rebellious angels (cf. I Enoch 90:2 1-2 5) and, only by association, human beings and their institutions (cf. "As we have seen, even in the judgment of contemporary events Daniel and the Dream Visions take different positions, for anything but marginal reasons. This is an effect, and yet another proof, of the distance that separates them ideologically and makes them witnesses of two independent currents of thought within middle Judaism." Daniel is thus much, much more "orthodox" than Enochic writings, and the 'political advantage' of borrowing would be on Enoch's side...(Not to get off the subject, but one can trace a progression in the Enochian literature from the more astrological/Mesopotamian beginnings to the 'intrusion and infusion' of Jewish elements. This was brought to my attention and is typical of the sort of attacks that Christianity is under where the Old Testament is used in a “bait and switch” to cast doubt and confusion and drive a wedge between the testaments. The problem is that many Christians are ignorant of scriptures or only have a superficial knowledge of the texts and are easily swayed by those who are willing to conflate mythology and distort the texts for their own ends. There is a reason why they are trying so hard to destroy Christianity.

Anunnaki Ancient Mystery

The most important video on the channel | God or Gods? The Many Faces of God in Ancient Texts (23 min)

This video refers to Zecharia Sitchin the author of several books proposing an explanation for human origins involving ancient astronauts. Sitchin attributed the creation of the ancient Sumerian culture to the Anunnaki, which he stated was a race of extraterrestrials from a planet beyond Neptune called Nibiru. The Anunnaki are the Sumerian gods discovered on the clay tablets of libraries excavated at locations like Nineveh. The Bible story is said to depend on these older myths. Ironically, Nineveh and its prophesied Biblical destruction were thought to be exaggerated or fictitious until the ruins were discovered and subsequently excavated by Austin Henry Layard in 1846 and 1847. Now those very same texts are used to demonstrate Biblical dependence (sic).  We might ask what the most likely direction of influence and/or corruption is?   Myths always grow by accretion and become more epic in the telling, moreover they suffer from assimilation and syncretism. The further back in the past the historical event lies, the more likely that this has occurred.

Dating ancient flood narratives is often a complex and multidisciplinary task.   The techniques employed are linguistic analysis (syntax language development), historical context, cultural references, archaeological evidence, comparative mythology, radiocarbon dating (papyrus), documentary evidence (cross-references), oral tradition and folklore and carbon dating of geological evidence (sediment layers). There are many flood myths even among the Greeks, Indians and Chinese but concentrating on the Mesopotamian myths we arrive at the following agreed upon dating.

The Sumerian Flood Story – c. 2100 BCE or earlier.    One of the oldest known flood narratives, possibly dating back to around 2100 BCE or even earlier. Atrahasis Epic – c. 18th century BCE.   This is an Akkadian text that is believed to have been composed in the 18th century BCE, although it draws on older Sumerian sources. Epic of Gilgamesh – c. 18th century BCE.   The standard Akkadian version of the Epic of Gilgamesh that contains the flood story is dated to the 18th century BCE. Ziusudra (Sumerian) – c. 19th-17th century BCE.   Ziusudra is the Sumerian equivalent of Noah. The story of Ziusudra is considered one of the earliest known flood narratives.

The multitude of cross-cultural myths is evidence that something catastrophic happened and the scientific evidence points to a Heinrich-Bond event with rapid changes to the jet stream and glacial melt probably occurring approximately 6,000 years ago  which (if correct) is some  2,000 years before the oldest flood accounts appeared. This allows plenty of time for the account to be mythologised and to become an epic tale.     The biblical account of the Great Flood is found in the book of Genesis, which is generally believed to have been written down during the Babylonian exile in the 6th or 5th century BCE.  It is thought to be the most recent but that is based on several false assumptions the first one being the early date assigned to Genesis.  We know that Genesis predates the exile and was known to the prophets etc before 700 BC. Of course, that is nowhere near the 2000 BC date of the Mesopotamian accounts but the appearance of the other ANE myths occurred around the same time slot as the Exodus from Egypt which coincided with the development of the alphabet.  Unlike clay, papyrus documents leave very little trace ,compounded  by  the Jewish custom to destroy old scrolls when new copies were made.    The Genesis account has the least mythological elements giving us dimensions, time periods and the landing place of the ark on Ararat which happens to be located very near to the oldest vineyards in the world giving credence to the story that Noah planted a vineyard and got drunk (lolz).  There is no reason (except academic bias) that the Genesis account cannot be earlier than the other myths.  They probably developed independently from one another based on cultural memories and oral traditions.

The video makes the false equivalency that the Sumerian Anunnaki = Elohim and the basic error of employing the Book of Enoch (a late pseudepigrapha) to demonstrate that the offspring of the Anunnaki are the “sons of God”.  Using the book of Enoch written at the very  least a millennia after Genesis to explain the “sons of God” is like using one of Isaac Asimov’s books to interpret Scripture. (lolz). The video (@7.45) states that all the terms are translated as God (not true), as the KJV translates Yahweh as LORD and Elohim as GOD

Whatever explanation is offered, must consider that men and rulers are also referred to as Elohim in Scripture, so the delineation is at times ambiguous (Exodus 7:1; 21:6; 22:8,9,28; 23:20,21; Psalms 58:1(?); 97:7; 138:11; 1 Samuel 2:25; 28:13). I find myself in agreement with Michael Heiser  [i]

 Our Terminology IS NOT Adequate to Describe the God of the Bible (5 min)

Note the famous shema of Deut 6:4 (שמע ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד)- Hear O Israel The LORD our God is one LORD (KJV) or, Literally: Hear O Israel, Yahweh our Elohim (’ĕ·lō·hê·nū) is one (echad) Yahweh and  compare Zechariah 14:9; And the LORD (Yahweh) shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one (echad) LORD  (Yahweh), and his name one (echad).

Moreover, just like Elohim the phrase “Sons of God” is also used to describe humans (and angels) adding to the ambiguity. The nation of Israel is described as God’s son (Hos.11:1). In fact, Solomon is called the “Son of God” and the account has intertextual parallels pointing back to the apostacy in Genesis 6:4 which I demonstrate in this article Solomon as the Son of God .  Moreover, the reference to “giants” in Genesis is literally “mortals of the name” or as some translations render it “men of renown” which are the “demi-gods” legendary hero figures of antiquity like Nimrod who established the city-states and hunted before Yahweh and is called a “mighty (גִּבֹּ֖ר gibbor) one.”  For example, although the Egyptians recognized that the pharaoh was human and subject to human weakness, they simultaneously viewed him as a god, because the divine power of kingship was incarnated in him. He therefore acted as intermediary between Egypt’s people and the gods. Many ancient Mesopotamian kings viewed themselves as living gods.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.   He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.  And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. (Genesis 10:8-10)

Another classic error (@ @8.45) is a failure to distinguish between names and titles.  El Elyon (Most High God) is not a name it is a title or epithet. Like calling someone a CEO or King of Kings. They are not names. in contrast with Yahweh (YHWH) which is a NAME. And the situation is further complicated by the concept of agency in which Yahweh places his name and authority in an angel (Exod 23:21) or in a human (cf. the king). The nation of Israel was told at Sinai that collectively they were meant to bear the Yahweh name and not take it in vain. The Hebrew word for “take,” nasa, means to bear or carry. God’s name had been placed upon the Israelites (Num 6:27), enter Jesus, whose name means Yahweh saves. He is one who fulfills the name bearing at which Israel (chosen to be a holy nation) so miserably failed. In fact, Jesus is able to use the name shown to Moses in Exodus 3:14 expressed in the Greek Septuagint as I AM [ii] when Jesus declares, Before Abraham was I AM” (John 8:58) this is a reference to manifesting the Yahweh name (not a reference to pre-existent equivalence) as the blind man is also able to manifest the I AM through being a recipient of healing power: Jesus answered, Neither hath this [blind] man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest (phaneroo) in him (John 9:3)….Some said, This is he [the blind man]: others said, He is like him: but he [the blind man] said, I AM (John 9:9).  So, Jesus bears the Yahweh name and manifests him, which is why he can say, “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” (John 14:9).  Jesus becomes the name bearer:

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name (Philippians 2:9).

The assertion that either Jesus or the NT is somehow confused about “which of the gods (plural) is his Father (lolz) is utter nonsense. As to the other assertion (@ 15 mins) that Abraham only knew God under the title El Shaddy but not under the Yahweh name, it is also based on a fundamental misunderstanding of Exodus 6:3: “And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH (Yahweh) was I not known to them. ” The context as demonstrated in my article El Shaddy is that the epithet is linked to blessing and fecundity [iii] and the irony is that it was the very fulfillment (Exodus 1:7) of the promise inherit in the title that caused the Egyptian genocide. The crux interpretum is the word “known” which is about revelation. It is about experiencing the full implication and meaning of the name and character. Abraham had a glimpse at the place he called Yahweh-Yireh (יהוה יראה) or Yahweh will be seen when he “saw the place afar off” [iv]– “Your father Abraham rejoiced [v] to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad” (John 8:56). However, the full implications of Yahweh manifesting himself as saviour was the Passover Exodus (Gen 15:13-14) and then later in history the Passover crucifixion of Jesus (Yah saves) when the full revelation of the name is made known.

The video is full of errors suggesting that the Elohistic (E) and Yahwistic (J) accounts of the flood denote different gods such as the Mesopotamian gods Enlil (destroyer) and Enki (the saviour). Not only is the Wellhausen Documentary hypothesis of differing sources (E, J and P) increasingly being rejected by many scholars (in favour of a holistic approach) but the theology of the Old Testament (and New) rejects the notion of dualism found in much of of the ANE mythology and religions (such as Zoroastrian). As the prophet says; “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things” (Isaiah 45:7 ). There is not a God who brings good and a different God who brings evil circumstances. God both kills and makes alive; “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand” (Deuteronomy 32:39). This was even recognized by Job in all his misery: ” And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD” (Job 1:21).

Furthermore, syncretism  of proto-Indo-European “father gods” such as Dyauspitar the Ṛigvedic sky deity which is cognate with the Greek Διας – Zeus Patēr and the Latin Jupiter and the Proto-Italic djous “day, sky” and patēr “father”, thus “sky father” Greek: Δίας or Ζεύς), also known as Jove of ancient Rome is an expected cross cultural evolution but the Semetic tetragmaton (YHWH) is semantically a verb that is treated as a noun. Unlike the cosmogony of the pagan gods the Hebrew has a unique existential meaning and teleological projection and is therefore not derivative.

Conclusion

At one point the video states; Actually it is necessary to highlight here a great confusion is Jesus the Messiah or not is Jesus’ Father Yahweh or not?  We can have different interpretations and different readings as well as different theological explanations for this. But invariably, the truth is only one, even though we may not be able to fully grasp it….   the fact that we do not have access to the truth…

The only person who is confused is the producer of the video. God is not the author of confusion, but of peace (1 Cor 14:33).  Moreover, we have direct access to the truth, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:16) and a promise to guide us into all truth and show us things to come (John 16:13). The video states that such knowledge is unobtainable, it is too far too high that it cannot be reached, which is contrary to the apostle Paul who says the opposite in Romans 10:6-8 that it is not too high or unobtainable. The video producer then levels the petulant accusation that “They (the gods???) blame our humanity for terrible and sinful acts” (Really?  Time for you to wake up and smell the coffee boyo.  Take a look around).  Man rebelled against God and is still in opposition to him with the Homo Deus transhumanist project. He continues by lamenting that “God is all powerful and we should fear him” (however the transhumanist and neo-Bolsheviks use fear as a programming tool).   I would rather fear the Lord than fear man. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom (Psalm 111:10, Prov 1:7) but not the end of Wisdom for perfect love rules out fear; There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.   We love him, because he first loved us (1 John 4:18-19). He ends the video by saying that he thinks we are divine, and he talks about “illumination of the darkness of ignorance” a sure sign that he is a gnostic (one with hidden knowledge that we do not have).  No, you are not illuminated, you walk in darkness (like the blind man in John 9//darkness Ps 82) and although you are gods in your own mind, you will die like Adam (Jesus quoting Ps 82 at the Sanhedrin “gods” in John 10).

[i] Although I disagree with Michael Heiser on his interpretation of Psalm 82:5-8:

They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.   I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.  But ye shall die like men (adam), and fall like one of the princes.   Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations. (Psalm 82:5-8)

The question is whether Psalm 82 is talking about gods or men. Michael Heiser would argue for the Elohim here being gods, but gods are immortal and these elohim are threatened to die like men or more specifically to die like Adam, having failed the test as he did. Or — more precisely — having sought for higher position than God permitted. The reference to “arise” is to the resurrection because Hezekiah recovered from his mortal illness on the third day and addressed the council (the Sanhedrin or 70 Elohim).  They had rebelled and attempted to usurp power during his illness and the Assyrian siege. They attempted to betray him and cut a deal with Sennacherib. The prince Shebna was cast out (cf. Isaiah 22).  The parallels between the suffering servant of Isaiah 53 (King Hezekiah) and Christ are obvious. Christ quotes this Psalm when challenged about his status by the Sanhedrin refer to my article Psalm 82 in the Fourth Gospel. This was part two of a live-stream with Dr Kevin McCairn and Albert Bishai. We are living in perilous and challenging times when people are being forced to question and reevaluate everything. It is becoming obvious that we have been badly betrayed by all of the institutions that form the bedrock of a functioning high-trust civilization. By all of the institutions I mean scientific, religious, educational, health…basically everything. The curtain has been pulled to the side and we can see the brick wall. The Wizard who has his hands on the levers of power is Jewish and Albert maintains that Abrahamic religions (including Christianity) are part of that control mechanism. In many ways Albert is correct pointing to the enormous power wielded by the Christian-Zionist lobby in the USA. Albert rightly emphasizes the dogmatic position held by many of these Christians, however, we must be careful not to throw out the baby with the bath water. Some discernment is necessary. Someone (?) once said words to the effect that Christianity transitioned from a being a religion in Palestine, to an Philosophy in Greece an institution in Rome, a culture in Europe and a business in the USA. From its very inception Christianity was under attack and threatened with subversion by the Jews, so much so that Paul lamented that all those of Asia had turned against him. Paul died trying to have Christianity recognized as a separate cult (Religio licita) in the Roman Empire and not just a Jewish sect. In my last stream I mentioned that the Nero persecution of Christians was most likely at the behest of Poppea the mistress/wife of Nero and a Jewish convert.

In the previous stream it was stated that Moses did not exist and the Exodus from Egypt was fiction and in is this stream it was asserted that Abraham was fictitious (and David lolz). I have placed a number of excellent videos below this stream that address the Moses controversy which goes hand in glove with the emergence of the first alphabet which we argue is proto-Siniatic (Paleo-Hebrew) and the precursor to the Phoenician alphabet and the Greek alphabet. It is the invention of the alphabet (and not necessarily the printing press) that gave rise to the rapid exchange of abstract ideas and the storage of information in condensed format (whether on clay or paper) and it is the alphabet that is the direct precursor to the information age (computers etc) that we now live in. Neither is it a coincidence that the first book printed was the Bible. Moreover, the alphabet (both the Hebrew and the Greek) encodes mathematical data and sacred geometry adding another layer of complexity below the surface layer and we have not even begun to engage with the intertextual and allegorical aspect of what can only be described as a developed literary culture.

Any claims that Moses/Abraham etc did not exist must be placed in context. The Civilizations of the day engraved their records into stelae and clay tablets using hieroglyphics and Cuneiform. Their history had to be pieced together using monumental evidence carved into palace walls but the Hebrews, initially nomadic refugees caught between superpowers, had developed a way to condense and transport a continuous historical record with them. Historical and archeological evidence is available of the presence of Hebrews in Palestine especially from the time of the Davidic scion Hezekiah onward, with many of the northern and southern kings mentioned in the Assyrian annuals and although rare there is archeological evidence of David and Solomon (but not as unambiguous). However, it must be borne in mind that the Northern tribes were deported in ca 700 and completely assimilated although many refugees would have fled to the south (Judea) and Hezekiah’s court probably absorbed their scribes and historical documents. Of course we have another exile and destruction of the temple in 586 BC (by Nebuchadnezzer/Babylon) and then the desecration by Antiochus Epiphanes in ca. 167 BC, the Roman war 66.5-73 AD and the Bar Kochba rebellion (132 -135 AD). Can you imagine how difficult it is to keep continuous records in such circumstances? Especially perishable materials. And yet they found scrolls hidden in caves to save them from being burnt, preserved by the arid desert air in pottery jars.

There is little point referencing the Ascension of Isaiah, a pseudepigraphical Judeo-Christian writing in the range 70-175 AD (not recognized as Canonical) as having anything of relevance to contribute to Christianity and Zoroastrian dualism is rejected in the book of Isaiah (who was a contemporary with the rise of Zoroastrianism); “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things” (Isaiah 45:7). Unlike the Persian religion the Hebrew God takes responsibility for both good and evil circumstances. As to other correspondences one must question the direction of influence because Judah was exiled under the Persian king Cyrus.

The question that keeps emerging is if the Hebrews developed a way of preserving and passing on knowledge (using Dr McCairns turn of phrase) “beyond the event horizon of a catastrophe” as ring-fencing such knowledge would give the survivors an advantage. The Bible does record such catastrophes the best known being the Noachian deluge attested in the myths of many ancient peoples but the creation story itself seems to be such an event (like the Younger Dryas but far earlier) after which Modern Humans emerge. These events are boundary conditions were rapid speciation occurs as a consequence of magnetic-electrical changes and cosmic radiation but my contention is that these changes are not random. According to the myths the catastrophes always occur when civilization has degenerated. Often they are linked with a human desire to become god-like such as in Eden or the tower of Babel. A type of collective megalomania or narcissistic grandiosity which seems to have become characteristic of the Jewish people. However, God did not chose them because they were better than all other peoples of the earth. The patriarch Jacob being a case in point – using deception and trickery to advance his cause. If the Jews made up the Torah why did they portray themselves as a stiff-necked and rebellious people who would have been destroyed in the wilderness if Moses had not intervened. We do not see a Superman or Spiderman or one of the many other superheroes portrayed in Jewish comic books or Hollywood. Instead we see deeply flawed characters. Jacob a deceiver, Esau a sellout, Saul a manic depressive, David a murderer and adulterer and so forth. A deeply flawed nation who murdered all the prophets sent to them and then murdered the Christ. A nation that was constantly punished and sent into exile like Cain. Like the scapegoat. Surely, the Jews could have painted a more flattering picture of themselves? What happened to the Hollywood script writers? (lolz). Abraham was meant to be the vehicle through which all the nations scattered at Babel were once more in-gathered and blessed (Genesis 12:3 in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed), he was not meant to be a symbol of Jewish supremacy.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. (Galatians 3:8-9)

Jesus was never “just a rabbi” he was the son of God and those who looked upon the face of Jesus saw God in action. Jesus was the manifestation of God. There is no other way to approach God and no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. If we are talking about translating words (the Logos) it is the difference between functional equivalence and dynamic equivalence. A literal translation or giving the sense of the word. Christians have expended so much energy debating the nature of Christ and his relationship with the Father. This muddying of the waters by the different -isims (Trinitarianism, Arianism , Sabellianism, Modalism, Unitarianism etc etc etc) is also result of Jewish sabotage perpetrated to force a barrier between Jews and Christians. It halted the conversion of Jews to Christianity and stopped the hemorrhaging  because Jews  could point to Christians as polytheists and idolators.

No Jew would ever believe that God had been put to death. However,  Jews were discussing the relationship between the messiah and God in the first century. This is known as two powers theology and is why Jesus questioned them about Psalm 110 showing that the second lord (adoni) was invited to share the throne. Notice that the word “thrones” is plural but that does not necessarily mean more than one throne it is probably an intensive plural for amplification. The Psalm starts with the words; “A saying of Yahweh to my lord (adoni)”. Even the famous Rabbi Akiva ignited controversy  (Sanhedrin 38b, The William Davidson Talmud, Sefaria.org) by stating that David (meaning Messiah) will sit next to HaShem on one of these thrones. (Seeing them as separate thrones in reality the “throne” is the mercy seat). Rabbi Akiva went on to declare Bar Kochba the messiah which set seal to the destruction and dispersion of the nation. So much for refusing to acknowledge the messiah-ship of Christ.

Psalm 110 twins with Psalm 2 where  Yahweh proclaims the messiah (anointed) victorious and says: “I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee”. The day of his resurrection is portrayed as the day of his birth (think here of born again/from above in John3) and his complete victory over the enemy (sin and death). The Catholic Church was subverted early on especially by the Jesuit movement who were all Jewish converts. It is pure deception to refer to the council in Acts 15 as an approval of Noahide laws. The council was an interim measure to placate Jewish Christians especially with regard to food laws and table fellowship. Followers of Christ live under the perfect law of liberty. They do not reside under the laws of Moses or Noah. They have been set free from the bondage of law which leads to death but now they act with a good conscience towards God. They no longer live under condemnation. On the other hand the Jews love the laws that they could not keep. When they become too onerous they change the interpretation of the laws using Pilpul making the word of God of no effect. They are law breakers. They love their law therefore God will judge them by their law. Christian take note. Noah was saved by faith:

"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith" (Heb 11.7)

P.s. The fear mentioned here does not mean that Noah was "afraid" but that he was motivated by "fear of the Lord" having respect and deference unto the creator.


Noah was given the sign of  covenant mercy as a memorial after he was saved not before he was saved. He was not saved because of law keeping. Of course, the rainbow already existed it was just given special significance to remind Noah of divine mercy. The covenant was not just made with man but with every living creature (9:12) fowl, cattle, and of every beast (v10). The living creatures are the cherubim with the faces of an eagle (fowl) ox (cattle) lion (beast) and man (Noah). This was the divine promise (covenant) of the “living God” who dwells between the living creatures (cherubim) on the mercy seat not to destroy all flesh by means of a flood. It was a sign of mercy and grace not a sign of law. This is a promise that normal seasons and weather would continue until the end of the age:

"While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease" (Gen 8:21).

This promise will hold true until the time of the last judgement which will herald cataclysmic changes and usher in a New Heavens and a New Earth.

Note that under the covenant made with Noah there were no unclean foods only a prohibition on consuming blood. The slaughter of animals for food was not prohibited but butchering other humans was (remember the earth was destroyed because it was filled with violence). Blood represented the life force and therefore the murder of a man is condemned because humans reflected the image of the divine. Noah was instructed (like Adam at creation) to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth but the relationship between man and creation had changed to one of fear and dread (Gen 9:2) which is reflected in the next chapter where we are told that Nimrod was a mighty hunter (Gen 10:8). The so called Noahide laws are derived from the Talmud not from the Torah. The Jews do not understand their own scriptures (they never did). In short, Nohaide laws are a Jewish deception to subjugate the goyim and to charge practicing Christians with idolatry.
